Fire safety at heart, practical drills build a strong defense - HSBC organized fire safety training and emergency drills in 2025
To further enhance employee fire safety awareness and improve emergency response capabilities, HSBC held a "Fire Safety Knowledge Training and Practical Drill" on the afternoon of April 15th in the third-floor meeting room. Part-time firefighters from various departments participated.
At the training session, Xu Jian, director of the Administration Department, used recent typical fire cases to explain the causes of fires, prevention measures, classifications and usage of fire extinguishers, and key points of evacuation and escape. He emphasized the importance of regulations for using electrical appliances in office areas and keeping fire exits clear. Participants gained a deep understanding of the necessity of "prevention is better than cure".
Following the theoretical training, all participants simulated an emergency evacuation in a smoky environment. Employees bent down, covered their noses with wet towels, and quickly evacuated to the designated assembly point following safety signs. During the drill, employees demonstrated good emergency response capabilities and teamwork, and the entire evacuation process was orderly and efficient.
Fire safety is the lifeline of the enterprise, and every employee should be a practitioner and supervisor of safety work. The company will regularly conduct hidden danger inspections and drills to ensure the normalization of safe production. This training, combining theory and practice, effectively improved employees' fire rescue capabilities and built a safety barrier for the company's high-quality development.
